Okay.. I’m from south Texas. I happily rep “The Valley.”
I grew up knowing nothing about In-n-Out, P. Terry’s, Juiceland, P.F. Changs (I know, I know), even Torchy’s Tacos.. My taste buds were limited. BUT DON’T GET ME STARTED ON MEXICAN FOOD. I CURRENTLY LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO, AND THE VALLEY STILL HAS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD. S/O Las Vegas, Pepe’s, Platillo’s and all of the home grown restaurants. (I’ll be visiting all of y’all 4th of July weekend)
THIS WEEKEND, I HAD, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, SHAKE SHACK.
David and I were at the Domain in Austin and as we were leaving we saw it. The architect of it was so modern. As soon as we walked in, the ambiance was so great.
I ordered the ShackBurger but added some bacon, David got the SmokeShack.
They unfortunately didn’t have jalapenos (that’s the valley in me) but offered me cherry peppers. Those we’re amazing.
Prices.. we’re a bit tough. Everything is sold separately. The burgers ranged from $5-$9. The crinkle cut fries we’re so worth $3. The shake David got was the Chocolate shake and it cost around $5.
Overall.. it was a wonderful experience. The manger was walking around and being very helpful. The people were so sweet and the food was sooooo great.
WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING AGAIN!
There are two locations in Austin, here is the one we went to.
